Essential Blood Results Interpretation This comprehensive online two-day course is tailored for nurses and allied health professionals looking to enhance their understanding of routine blood tests and clinical interpretation. Delivered virtually, the course equips participants with practical knowledge of common blood parameters, enabling more informed clinical decisions and improved patient care. Through real-world examples, interactive discussions, and guided interpretation, participants will build the confidence to identify normal and abnormal results and understand their clinical significance. What you will learn ✅ Introduction to Blood Test Interpretation: Understanding the purpose and principles of common blood tests. ✅Full Blood Count (FBC): Interpretation of red cells, white cells, haemoglobin, platelets, and identifying abnormalities. 3. Urea and Electrolytes (U&Es): Sodium, potassium, urea, and creatinine: clinical relevance and identifying imbalances. 4. Liver Function Tests (LFTs): Recognising patterns and indicators of liver dysfunction. 5. Inflammatory Markers: CRP, ESR and other markers of infection or inflammation. 6. Thyroid Function Tests: Basic interpretation of TSH, T3, and T4 in a clinical setting. 7. Case-Based Learning: Application of learning through realistic clinical scenarios. 8. Safe Escalation and Documentation: Knowing when and how to escalate abnormal results appropriately. Cancellation & Transfer Policy We understand that circumstances can change and aim to be as fair and transparent as possible with our cancellation and transfer terms. Please read the following carefully before booking a course with us. Cancellations Cancellations made within 28 days of the course start date are non-refundable and subject to 100% of the course fee. However, we are happy to accept a named substitute at no additional cost. Cancellations made more than 28 days prior to the course start date will be eligible for a refund, minus a £20.00 administration fee. All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing via email to be valid. Cancellations made by phone or through any other means will not be accepted. Transfers Requests to transfer to another course will only be considered if made more than 28 days before the original course start date. Transfer requests made within 28 days of the course start will be treated as a cancellation and subject to the standard cancellation terms above. In such cases, a named substitute may attend in your place at no extra charge.
